LOL by independent do you mean you in your basement? Because there has never been a review in the last year and half that would:
1. Put avast over anything, that stuff has been in the middle to bottom of the pack since ’09.
2. The only version of AVG that is widely used (im talking in consumer environment) is the free version, which is scoring 6′s and 7′s out of 10 and is clunky/antiquated.
3. Mcafee products are not super bad anymore, although their memory use remains high.
i just got a trojan on my computer, and norton fixed the FUCK out of it.

Other computers and laptops have a free 30 trial of McAfee anti-virus. Mine have a McAfee but I uninstalled it because I installed to AVG
