A good firewall helps, plus most of the pro version software has anti-hack.

@bebopalulahola
try running your computer in safe mode and running your firewall from there. it depends on what operating system you have for how to run in safe mode. when your computer first starts up hit f9 really fast.

In my experience, Avast definitely rates higher. I believe the rankings at AV Comparitives website also reflect this. Avast is one of the most effective at protectimng a Windows computer and removing virus infections.

Mr2009Barry July 4, 2010 at 3:49 am

milktatious July 4, 2010 at 6:49 am

thanks my norton subscription ran out so i needed new software to keep my computer safe. Are you sure these are still the best conbination of computer security softwares?

djdk89 July 4, 2010 at 6:57 am

Thanks for the video now I don’t have to buy another Norton program !!!

newviewcinema July 4, 2010 at 7:28 am

I think the high number of virus infections found on Norton protected computers speaks for itself.

TheAllSeeingHamster July 4, 2010 at 7:41 am

I use Norton Internet Security 2010….. but i have to renew the subscription……. i hate paying for a new subscription every year…. is this set up better than Norton?

newviewcinema July 4, 2010 at 7:58 am

It’s probably ok, but i don’t rate it as high as avast, avira, or the Outpost firewall.

NLglennNL July 4, 2010 at 8:52 am
