The best antivirus to use is the one called "CAUTIOUS USER".

Cautious Users do not install programs, unless the company is reputable, and the software is not beta. Cautious Users do not open email attachments. Cautious Users do not install unnecessary browser extensions if the problem can be solved another, safer way. Cautious Users don't take risks.

AVG is alright but if you want spend a little get a McAfee or Norton I personally recommend McAfee or if you dont want to spend the sites for the companies have free trials for like 90 or 30 days that should by you sometime to shop around for good Christmas deals.
