What Do I Do if I Get a Computer Virus and Cant Turn on My Computer?

My computer got a virus and turn completely off and I cant turn it back on, how do I get rid of the virus?

satyam Bharti June 1, 2011 at 7:50 pm: First open pc till it open then turn it off quickly .Then start it again at start up you will see a opyion of safe mode open it then.you will see that your pc turned on after that restore your pc .your computer will open next time.Remember to do backups.

belvedresi_56 June 1, 2011 at 7:50 pm: I have to agree with rockindoc, a virus will never physically harm your computer. This sounds more like a power supply problem. Have you checked the back of your PC if it is a desktop? If so, is the power cord making contact with the plug-in and the jack?

You are probably going to need to take the machine to a computer repair shop.

However, if your computer is booting but you are unable to log into Windows (or whatever your using), this more than likely is a virus and the only effective way to take care of that would be to use a bootable disk.
