I know that Norton might rock, but myself personally, I can't tolerate the way it uses all of my ram and slows my computer down. I use spy bot, but that isn't enough. Is there anyone out there who knows of an antivirus program that will not eat up my bank account or my computer's capacity to function at a normal rate? Thank you for your time......

I beleive there is a virus on my computer. Symptoms; when I select buttons of links nothing happens. While in internet explorer Browser and at specific sites(Yahoo, Microsoft, etc). When I select the link to Hotmail or type it in the search window it will not go to those addresses. Also, when there is a button or link on the page it doesn't show up . When I select the Delete , Move, or Spam button in Yahoo mail nothing happens. I have and had previous to two days ago virus protection software (free and Full version of AVG) and have run numerous others but no VIRUS shows up. What is the problem with my computer, please Help!

My mouse was used on a computer that was infected. I like the mouse's way it works. Will it carry/transfer virus' to the new computer?

What is the for a netbook that has home?

Which antivirus with active protection uses the least resources?
I need an antivirus for a pc with low specs and installing linux isn't an option.

The computer has Win FLP on it 64 MB Ram and is used for editing in Word 2000.
So far it works great but i need an antivirus.
On my other computers i use Softwin Bitdefender because i have the license already(comes with a magazine i read monthly).
But it uses way to much memory to be usable on the legacy pc.

ill turn my computer on, and as soon as it is done starting up, i get tons and tons of some very disturbing sex-related . i mean some very disgusting things. obviously i have some sort of virus. ive tried defraging it, even in safe mode, and it wont run! can someone please give me some advice how to get rid of it?

Apparently my AntiVirus I had on my computer expired a year ago and now I have a virus. How do I get rid of the viruses? Is there a free way of getting rid of them? If so, does anyone have any recommendations?My computer is really slow and I keep getting a virus alert pop-ups.

Is there any tips or tricks on how to get rid of a virus that is affecting the whole networks and blocks certain websites access to my computer.
http://www.malwarebytes.org/mbam.php is blocked on my websites that I can access. Will the other two be sufficient enough?

Cause whenever my Antivirus blocks something, it's usually a that it blocks. Is the trojan horse easy for hackers to make or something? Why is it the most present ?

I think my computer may be infected with a virus or something. It won't allow me to open internet explorer at all and I keep getting these from security saying I have an infection, but I can't afford to buy the whole security package. Is there a way to reboot my computer or get rid of this for free? I have windows vista.

My computer (desktop) has been having many problems lately. My computer panel won't open, my ventrilo, windows live messenger, and other programs aren't opening. When I try to open them it seems like they crash.

I've asked my friend to help me fix it but it won't work, and he tried his best. This virus is really taking everything away from me, is there anyway I can fix this for free?

If there is no other options I guess I will have to spend 50$ on fixing it.
